Today was a day to say the least. Obviously it wasn't as good as yesterdays -12 considering the only way to do that was shoot in the 50s. The way the round started with a birdie-eagle-eagle on holes 3-4-5 I think we all started to think today was the day. Starting off strong and continuing to make putts, hit fairways, and make some good scores he closes the front 9 with a -6 30 and heads to the back. With a par on 10 and another birdie on 11 things look like they're off to a good start until hole 12 where a bogey and double on 13 cause him to fall back to -20 and trailing Cantlay who becomes the leader. Ends up finishing the back at +1 with a 37 and goes on to shoot a 30-37-67 (-5). From solo lead yesterday at -16 he heads into tomorrow at -21 tied with Patrick Cantlay for the final round.

Hole by Hole:
Hole 1 par 4, 365 yards. 248 yards off the first tee with an iron. 109 to the green and a dart to 6 feet 8 inches, misses long and a 2 foot 11 inch putt for an opening par.
Hole 2 par 5, 589 yards. 338 yard drive off the tee to the fairway. 232 yards to the green and he is long. chipping from about 40 yards and 24 feet for a birdie. Gets it close but not enough. 2 feet for another par.
Hole 3 par 3, 224 yards. Dart onto the green and he has 7 feet 1 inch for the first birdie of the day and makes it! -1 on the day and -17 total.
Hole 4 par 5, 590 yards. It is eagle time!! Driver striped down the fairway 336 yards, 254 to the green and he hits it. 25 feet for an eagle and just when you think you could settle with a birdie, he drains the putt and boosts up to -19 this week.
Hole 5 par 4, 356 yards. If you thought one eagle of the day was enough, well watch your tone there cause here he comes. Going for the green off the tee and he finds it. 53 feet 5 inches, just try not to 3 putt right? How about a 1 putt for a long eagle made? -21 and solo leader yet again.
Hole 6 par 3, 223 yards. Greenside bunker off the tee and chips that out to 6 feet 9 inches to save a par and keep his lead.
Hole 7 par 4, 430 yards. 348 yards to the right rough. Goes for the green and 24 feet 7 inches for a birdie. Misses and a tap in par from 9 inches.
Hole 8 par 4, 474 yards. Driver 343 yards o the left rough this time. 166 left and 30 feet for a birdie and what does he do? Drains it! -22 now.
Hole 9 par 4, 466 yards. Right rough off the tee and left with 180 yards to the hole. Gets it close to the green and on the fringe. 30 feet that leaves him with a 20 inch tap in for a par.
Makes the turn at -6 with an opening 9 of 30. -22 and the solo leader remains.
Hole 10 par 4, 464 yards. Finds the fairway 356 yards off the tee. 82 to the green and gets it to 25 feet. Gets the putt close but 14 inches for another par.
Hole 11 par 4, 356 yards. Hits the fairway and with 95 yards to the hole he hits a incredible dart to 19 inches. Taps that in for another birdie, now -23 this week.
here is where we... well you will see...
Hole 12 par 5, 568 yards. Fairway off the tee but his approach finds the water. Drops from 82 yards and then hits the green. 35 feet for a par and gets it to just inside 3 feet for a bogey. Drops a shot and back to -22.
Hole 13 par 3, 221 yards. Wind catches the tee shot and ends up well short in the water again.Drops and hits the green with his third. 20 feet and misses with 8 inches left for a double. Now back to -20 and trailing the lead.
Hole 14 par 4, 468 yards. Fairway off the tee to get one back here and hits the green with 10 feet for a birdie and makes the putt. Back to -21.
Hole 15 par 4, 495 yards. Left rough off the tee and with 205 left and is well right. Chipping for his third and gets to 22 feet. Misses and 5 inches for another bogey.
Hole 16 par 5, 596 yards. Way left off the tee and onto some thick stuff 360 yards out. Throws that out of that and ends up in the right rough but thankfully it's just rough this time. Chipping from about 35 yards, gets it to 10 inches for a tap in birdie. -21 and still trailing by one with 2 holes to go.
Hole 17 par 3, 192 yards. Hits the green but a looonnggg putt coming up for a birdie, over 70 feet to be exact. Putt gets up there but still well short with 7 feet 8 inches for a par. Sinks it and remains -21.
Hole 18 par 4, 465 yards. 314 off the tee to the fairway. With 140 to the hole he gets it to just inside 30 feet. Putt runs up but too much break played. 14 inches for a tap in par as Cantlay bogeys and they tie for the lead at -21.
Looking to tomorrow...
Tomorrow for round 4 Bryson will be in the final pairing with Cantlay going off at 1:55pm. With rounds of -4,-12, and -5 its hard to know what to expect. Final round and final pairing pressure atop the leaderboard it will be keeping the game under control and doing what he knows he is capable of this week to finish strong and finish on top!
